Open the library homepage (link available from your desktop 
or SIMON School LInks)
- Search for your book or other items
- Use the location details and call number to retrieve from the shelf
- ACK staff can request items through email. You can collect these from the library or we will put them in your pigeonhole.(staff only)
There is also the "Professional teaching and learning library" in the meeting room in the Upper William building.
Please use the PC provided at the room to fill the form to borrow.
You may borrow as many books as you like for 3 weeks. You can also renew or extend a loan 2 times for 3 weeks, as long as no one else has reserved it.
If you can, bring your student card with you when you want to borrow, please. Year 7s will be issued with a temporary card for use until you get your official borrowing card.
You may borrow at the self service machines or the Help Desk with your card.
If you have forgotten your card, you may still borrow. Please tell the Library Staff your name.
If the item you would like to borrow is out on loan, you can reserve it and we'll ket you know when it's available.
How do I reserve items?
Search for the item
When you have found the item, click item then
- Click the "Make a reserve" (1)
- Select “Reserve the first available copy” (2)
- Then click “Reserve” (3)
You will be notified by email when your item is ready to collect. You have seven days to collect your on-hold items once the notification has been issued
You can renew your items if:
- you do so before the due date of the item
- no one else has requested the items
- you hvae not already reached your limit for renewals. (A renewal limit is twice)
How to renew items
Online
Go to the library homepage click "My Borrowing details"
Choose "renew"
In person
Bring the item to the Library Help Desk. We will happily renew the item for you.
Please return your items before, or on, the day they are due.
The return chute is located in the Library.
