What is a School Based Apprenticeship?

School based  part-time apprenticeships allow students to commence formal training toward  their chosen career whilst still at school.

Students can focus their  education and training around particular goals and objectives, complete the  first stage of a full apprenticeship without having to commit to a full-time  long term contract, be able to work whilst they are at school.

Students can complete a SBAT as part of a VCE certificate or as part of a VCAL certificate.

Students can start an SBAT once they have turned 15years of age and once they have an employer.
